Inter – Tribal Tobacco Prevention Youth Summit 2024

16 eligible youth (1&2 or 3&4) who are currently 11 to 17 yrs of age will be invited to sign-up for the Thermal site FPS Youth Department 4th Annual Inter-Tribal Tobacco Prevention Youth Summit (La Jolla). The event will be held on Wednesday, August 7th, 2024 from 6am to 6pm, @ Sengme Oaks Water Park, 751 Sengme Oaks Rd, Pauma Valley, CA 92061 (La Jolla)

Project: TomorrowLand

20 eligible TANF Youth (1&2 or 3&4) who are currently between the ages of 13 to 18 yrs of age will be invited to participate in Project:TomorrowLand This is a one time event that will only be offered Monday, August 19th, 2024 -7am to 5pm Transportation will be provided for eligible youth when requested.

20 eligible TANF Youth (1&2 or 3&4) who are currently between the ages of 13 to 18 yrs of age will be invited to participate in Yuhaaviatam Tribal Youth Gathering 2024 This is a one time event that will only be offered Saturday, August 24th, 2024 -8:30am to 4:00pm Transportation will be provided for eligible youth when requested.

I Wish-A-Fish Wood: Life Skills

10 eligible youth (1 & 2 or 3 & 4) who are currently 11 to 13 years old will be invited to sign-up for the Thermal site / San Jacinto Site FPS Youth Department I Wish -A- Fish Wood: Life Skills. The event will be held on September 28th 2024 / 9:30am - 2:30am Big Bear Marina, 500 Paine Ct, Big Bear Lake, CA 92315. FPS Staff and Leaders from the Organization We Can Fish and Youth with a 504/ IEP plan will be paired with FPS Staff to fish on Big Bear Lake. After fishing lunch will be provided and an award ceremony to follow.  Youth attending must have a 504 or IEP Plan. This event will teach life-saving skills and offers mental health wellness tools to enhance the quality of life through the sport of fishing.  Fishing equipment and safety equipment will be provided through We Can Fish.   FPS Staff will begin pick ups at 7am. Then start transporting home at 2:30 pm and returning to the Thermal Site or San Jacinto by 5pm.
