The Coastal Defenders

8 eligible TANF Youth (1&2 or 3&4) who are currently 13 to 18yrs of age will be invited to Join Thermal Site FPS Staff and The Coastal Defenders. On Sunday, June 7th, 2026 – 6:30am to 7:30pm at UCSD Canyon view Aquatic Center, 3302 Voigt Dr, San Diego, CA 92121 / La Jolla Shores, San Diego CA 92037. Refreshments will be provided to youth participants by FPS Staff throughout the day. Workshop sessions will include interactive training to include Intro to Water Safety, swimming, snorkeling, SCUBA diving and paddling and other labs.FPS Staff will begin pick ups at 6:30am to arrive by 9am. Then start transporting home at 5pm and returning Thermal Site by 7:30pm
