December to Remember

10 eligible youth (1&2 or 3&4) who are currently enrolled in 3rd, 4th and 5th Grade will be invited to sign-up for Thermal FPS Youth Dept’s December to Remember event. The event will be scheduled on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 from 3pm to 4pm and will be held In-Person at the Thermal TM TANF Classroom. Transportation assistance may be provided and must be requested 3 days prior to the event.
The December to Remember event seeks to provide students the opportunity to reflect on the 2023 year and acknowledge those in their life (family/friends) who helped make their year a memorable one. The event will allow students to use their literacy skills to hand write thank you notes to their family and friends. Writing prompts will be utilized to help students in need. In addition, staff will also provide examples to help give students ideas. During the event, Academic Standards that promote Success in Education will also be emphasized. This includes reading and writing skills.
