DESCRIPTION:12 eligible TANF Youth (1&2 or 3&4) who are currently between the ages of  7 to 11 yrs of age will be invited to participate in Water Safety Preparedness This is a 2 day event that will only be offered July 9th and 16th\, 2025 – 11:00am to 1:00pm Transportation will be provided for eligible youth when requested. Bring a towel and change of clothes. \nThrough active participation\, Communication/ Dialoguing teamwork\, and building motor skills activity\, Youth have the opportunity to enhance life skills to develop self-confidence\, building on or learning to swim\, and understand water hazards. In these formative experiences learning how to swim at an early age is easier. Going to swimming lessons is an excellent way for children to learn water safety and get physical exercise\, which provides a workout for the whole body. This will allow Youth the opportunity to purchase school supplies that they prefer to purchase.
