SUMMARY:Life Skills at Lake Skinner
DESCRIPTION:10 Eligible TANF Youth (1 & 2 or 3 & 4) who are currently 7 to 13 years old will be invited to sign-up for the Thermal site. FPS Youth Department : Life Skills:@ Lake Skinner  The event will be held on March 21th\, 2026 – 6am to 5pm. Lake Skinner Recreation Area\, 37701 Warren RD.\, CA 92596 FPS Staff and Leaders from the Organization We Can Fish and Youth with a 504/ IEP plan will be paired with FPS Staff to fish at Lake Skinner.  After fishing lunch will be provided and an award ceremony to follow.  Youth attending must have a 504 or IEP Plan. This event will teach life-saving skills and offers mental health wellness tools to enhance the quality of life through the sport of fishing.  Fishing equipment and safety equipment will be provided through We Can Fish. FPS Staff will begin pick ups at am. Then start transporting home at 2:30pm and returning Thermal Site by 5pm \n  \nSign up Here!
